Blue Circle is the independent standard created to identify and promote farms that grow soilless: hydroponics, aquaponics, aeroponics and bioponics.
In conventional models a significant share of water and fertiliser is lost to the environment; certified systems recirculate instead: the nutrient solution is recovered, filtered and returned to the system.
The mark attests that the farm applies defined protocols for resource management, integrated defence and energy efficiency, verified through technical checks and objective parameters.
